I am doing an MSc and I have started CRM project for a small Law firm, focusing on Marketing task as they were using Excel to store client contact data, and update their event responses, rather than using a centralised shared CRM System.
However I have been told by a lecturer that the problem is too easily solved (creating a relational database or integrating data for a data warehouse and its not exactly a cutting edge project)
Anyway, I have to write a Literature Review on CRM systems, technologies similar CRM projects, the problems and solutions and create a proposal, or maybe explore other approaches and other technologies to coordinate their Marketing tasks but apparently it needs to have some academic value to the field of CRM not just solve a business problem.
Does anyone know of any good sources?
and indeed if there is alternatives in terms of marketing coordination instead of a CRM system which is based on a relational database?
